Description

Citric acid is an important organic acid that is soluble in water, alcohol and ether. The aqueous solution is acidic. It is slightly weathering in dry air and deliquescent in humid air. Its calcium salt is more soluble in cold water than in hot water, and this property is often used to identify and separate citric acid. Anhydrous citric acid can be obtained by controlling the appropriate temperature during crystallization. Anhydrous citric acid is a natural component and intermediate product of physiological metabolism in animals and plants. It is also one of the most widely used organic acids in food, chemical and other fields.
